Green Bean Pastry Green Bean Pastry

Also named Wedding Cake.
In Taiwan, the going-to-be-married couple sends this kind of cakes to relatives and friends as presents while they give them invitations for the wedding party!

Ingredients:(for 30 pastries)
      Dough       Filling
    Outer pastry (Water-oil dough)
  • Instant blending flour 600g.
  • Unsalted butter 220g.
  • Sugar 50g.
  • Warm water 240g.
    Inner pastry (Oil dough)
  • Best for cake & pastry flour 400g.
  • Unsalted butter 250g.
  • Mashed green beans (paste) 1,000g
  • Dried shredded pork jerky 200g

  Measurement Convert  

  • Prepare the outer, and inner dough then make the "crispy pastries"
  • Wrap some shredded pork jerky in each share of green bean paste.
  • Wrap the filling into pastry then lay it on the non-stick-bake-tray. And flatten the pastry by palm (Don't be too flat, about 1 and 1/2 inch thick.)
  • If you like, you can stamp the red dots as decoration.

  • Set oven to 360°F, put the bake-tray on middle rack of the oven and bake about 20 to 23 minutes.
    (The pastries should be like pastel white. And it's ready for serve.)
